About this blog

This blog is dedicated to Elder Wesley Smith's adventures in Merida, Mexico over the next two years as he serves his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and teaches the people of Mexico. His family is proud to present you with the letters and pictures he sends to them.

Wesley is now in Mexico and he would greatly appreciate letters! There is a Pouch system available and they have very specific instructions which are:

"To prevent possible fines, only send postcards and letters that are single sheet, folded into 3-panels, and taped at the top only (no envelopes)" Put this address on the outside, and a USA first class stamp.

These letters are only sent once a week to the his mission so it may take a while for him to get them. His address is:

You can also go to www.dearelder.com and set up an account. Find Mexico-Merida Mission in the drop down menu and click on it to send pouch letters through them.

**TO SEND ENVELOPED LETTERS STRAIGHT TO HIM IN MEXICO, you will need to use the following address. Make sure you put on the correct amount of postage to get it to Merida, Mexico!

For Packages you need to use the same address as above. You will also need to fill out a customs form (you can get these forms at the post office.)

* if you send a package through a private carrier (like UPS or US mail etc) you must also include the phone # under the address, which is:

52 999-923-5860

Do not call the phone #. It is for the mission home and Wes will not be there to get calls:)
